Provides staff with directions on materials and equipment for each package. Additionally, Packaging Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Packaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.Key Duties And Responsibilities- Serves as primary liaison between company and customer to develop best-in-class retail merchandising solutions to achieve sales growth
- Manages display and primary packaging development process and execution, working with internal and external stakeholders
- Serves as subject matter expert on Menasha’s products and capabilities to align with customer’s brand objectives
- Proactively manages project timelines and communicates progress with key stakeholders, ensuring key dates and deadlines are met
- Makes recommendations to customer to optimize quality, structural and brand graphics integrity
- Drives internal and customer continuous improvement initiatives to deliver cost savings
- Manages internal and customer complaints and assures appropriate corrective actions
- Coordinates comprehensive cost estimates working with key stakeholders
- Prepares and reviews required business reports
- Maintains and shares industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications
Essential to this PositionThe position will be an extension of the ORBIS sales focused on the customer's packaging challenges, design ideas, and ideation of concepts. The successful candidate will:
- Build and maintain an exceptional customer relationship by providing ideas and iterative design concepts to evolve new packaging concepts
- Work with customers to identify and optimize material handling applications that have been, or are being, converted to returnable/reusable packaging systems
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the packaging development process
- Provide full-time, dedicated customer support helping facilitate new packaging development
- Manage and create design briefs to articulate requirements for each project
- Provide direction and clearly communicate requirements to internal & external, cross-functional team members
- Proactively manage all key milestones of development and execution to ensure customer requirements are met
- Ensure all stakeholders have information to complete requests
- Create and maintain scorecard, including cost savings/cost avoidance opportunities
- Coordinate projects with ORBIS sales, product management, and design resources
- Manage timelines for packaging development v. program milestones
- Provide support on customer's trends and insights to our company as needed
- Attend meetings, calls or travel to customer locations as needed

At least 2 years relevant experienceKnowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired- Ability to design, implement and execute Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business processes and associated applications
- Knowledge of and ability to implement effective strategies and activities that promote long-term customer loyalty
- Knowledge of project management skills to identify, coordinate, communicate, schedule and determine resources for each project and customer activity
- Familiarity with organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding customer interactions
- Knowledge of practices, tools, and techniques for communicating with a customer
- Knowledge of and ability to apply the processes, activities and tools associated with managing customer requests

- Ability to represent ORBIS positively with our customer
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment under deadlines
- Ability to manage stressful situations with tact and poise
- Effective oral and written skills
- Positive, proactive problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; also, Access and Project a plus
- Maintain constant communication with customers regarding the progress of jobs
