Duties

• Paints a wide variety of equipment and/or material utilizing painting techniques. Must have knowledge of accepted surface preparation and coating methods and techniques, including those used for special effects, e.g. marbling, mottling and graining.
• Maintains painting equipment in a clean and operable condition. Controls supply and tracks quantity of items used. Ensures proper disposal of all used or excess materials in accordance with appropriate government regulations.
• Required to operate hoists or forklifts capable of lifting to 15,000 pounds.

  This position is being filled as Temporary appointment not-to-exceed (NTE) One Year. If selected, this will be a Temporary/Time-Limited Appointment NTE One Year and may be extended in increments of up to one year, NTE a total of three years. A temporary/time-limited appointment is a non-status appointment to a competitive service position for a specific period and you may be released from this position upon management discretion.
