    JOB DESCRIPTION:



    JOB SUMMARY: The host will be responsible for meeting, greeting and building relationships with guests to promote loyalty and repeat visits. Work closely with Summit Rewards to maintain guests on the casino floor. Answer questions, concerns and comping issues pertaining to their play account. Maintain a professional relationship with guests while providing specialized attention. Enhance the growth of gaming revenues through the development of the guest database.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.     • Devotes majority of time in the casino on the floor providing personalized service to the guests as well as be available by phone and in person for high priority guests during off time.
    • Contacts guests personally to invite them to enjoy amenities and/or special events. Promote casino marketing programs via telemarketing.
    • Actively participate in BJ Tournaments, VDM Drawings, Jackpot Parties, Slot Tournaments and off-site promotional events.
    • Complete promotional payouts, announce jackpot winners and take pictures of winners.
    • Knows and follows all Marketing Internal Controls as well as Marketing Policies and Procedures.
    • Prioritizes opportunities to interact with guests to insure guest feedback/data is gathered.
    • Consistently provides exceptional guest service and represents Legends Casino in professional manner at all off-site events.
    • Sign up new members and explain the benefits of the Players Club Card.
    • Evaluate guest gaming activity for comps and rewards.
    • Heavy weekend, holiday and event schedules.
    • Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
    • Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
    • Moves the situation quickly toward resolution by efficiently managing and controlling the circumstances.
    • Explains the “why” behind the resolution or action for the guest.
    • Makes judgment calls based on understanding Legends Casinos’ Purpose, Values and objectives while utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.
    • Proactively shares guest feedback with executive management and peers in the spirit of continuous improvement.
    • Seeks to share and improve processes and workflows based on guest feedback.
    • Finds ways to make good use of their strengths and talents.
    • Knows and follows all Marketing Internal Controls and policies and procedures.
    • Consistently provides exceptional customer service and represents Legends Casino in a professional manner at all off-site events.
    • Proactively helps guests to resolve concerns; particularly when the guest has not been satisfied and strives for a win-win resolution
    • Arrives to work on time as scheduled, prepared to work, and reports in appropriately.
    • Follows team member handbook in regards to professionalism and appearance.
    • Takes responsibility for their performance, knows how they are performing and constantly strives to improve.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:



    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to endure prolonged periods of standing, sitting and moving throughout the casino. Must be able to bend, squat, and able to lift at least twenty five pounds (25 lbs). Manual and finger dexterity required for computer and routine paperwork.


    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION: Must possess excellent communication skills as well as guest service. Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, with extreme attention to detail. Must have strong computer and math skills, thorough understanding of casino games, and player rating programs. Thorough understanding of the local agricultural community and general familiarity with guests. Dresses and acts professionally at all times and is the primary contact for high-end players. Provides courteous, hospitable service. Prohibited from becoming personally involved with guests, fraternizing, sharing gossip, innuendo or personal information. Maintains highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
