Description

Employee will be required to spray, mask, caulk, putty and complete basic commercial painting projects. Will aid in basic project management of specific tasks as needed by the Project Manager. Should be a strong field communicator with the ability to negotiate and coordinate scheduling, organize manpower, coordinate extra work items and communicate specific project needs with our field office or customer’s field representative.

Work Hours: 6:30 am to 5:00 pm – longer hours may be required as particular job schedules dictate.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

-2 years verifiable experience working for a painting contractor or similar construction field

Responsibilities

-Communicate with office and field personnel to complete any assigned project.

-Maintain working knowledge of basic painting equipment, including any site required equipment.

-Maintain working knowledge of construction access equipment, including booms, scissors, scaffolds and ladders.

-Monitor and be familiar with current safety regulations and trends concerning coatings, access equipment and application equipment

-Sequence painting procedures with other job site activities and communicate the company's needs with the customer's field crew

-Field coordination with customer’s field crew – aid sub in scheduling and sequencing

-Jobsite visits as required to complete assigned tasks - additional time will be spent on certain projects as outlined below

-Check substrates prior to coating and perform site testing as required

-Maintain quality standards

-Ensure proper safety equipment is on the job and used

-Ensure project completion within budget and notify the SR PM of any anticipated difficulties.

-Maintain company equipment and maintenance schedules.

-Aid the crew in loading the trailer for the project prior to commencement to ensure that all materials are loaded and secured properly.

-Travel to the site as needed to maintain quality standards and schedule
