Facilities Technician / Painter
Canaan, CT
About the Position:
Your role is to ensure facilities aesthetics at Mountainside are always maintained specific to painting, patching and repair needs while maintaining a professional and solution-focused attitude.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Possible weekends and overtime as needed.
Your Role:
- Ensure that the work performed and the way it is performed supports and upholds Mountainside’s high-quality of design and standards.
- Maintain all Painting assets and their daily use as a “best practice”.
- Support all new and repurposed interior space with “taping, patching and painting” skills.
- Perform exterior surface preparation and painting.
- Knowledge of daily schedules to ensure workflow is always progressing.
- Offer alternative painting resources that will deliver a “Best in Class” result within budget.
- Ensure attitude toward other departments and team members is ‘solution focused’.
- Support and coordinate all projects that encompass “taping, patching and painting” at any Mountainside facility.
- Provide quick “solution focused” techniques that will ensure speed of completion and least disruption to Clients & Staff.
- Ensure that all quality standards are upheld.
- Any other work as Identified and requested by the Facility Manager or others (i.e., furniture moving, minor electrical, minor plumbing).
- Maintain facility records with the ServiceNow work order system, by receiving, completing, and closing work orders.
- Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of professional painting experience.
- Minimum 3 years of drywall taping experience.
- Project Management skills with Painting projects at all levels of scale.
- Computer Skills with Facility Software a plus.
- Basic maintenance skills.
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
