OVERALL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to ensure that our Food Pantry is sufficiently stocked to fill weekly orders; to receive and prepare those orders for pick-up; and to provide friendly, helpful customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The food pantry coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation of our food pantry service. This person is responsible for acquiring stock at the best price based upon comparative shopping processes and partnering with other agencies and business that wish to sponsor a food drive/donation. He or she is responsible for following all food and general safety policies and procedures related to a food distribution facility/operation. This person is responsible for reasonably avoiding product waste and stock shrinkage. This position partners with Client Services to provide food pantry services with empathy and honesty to people affected by HIV. The food pantry coordinator enters food service data into our client database, works with Director of Client Services to extract data necessary to submit service reports to Harvest Hope. This person also completes and submits the monthly Harvest Hope Report. The food pantry coordinator is responsible for maintaining regular hours for clients to pick up their food packages and coordinates with Transportation Specialists for pantry package delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate must have a high school diploma or diploma equivalent (GED). Candidate will need above average math and organizational skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse client population. Must be a team player, self-starter and results oriented.
