Hill Country Golf & Guitar and the Six String Grill is an authentic place for the community of greater Austin to come together and create memories through fun, food and music. Job DescriptionAll Kitchen positions should expect the following duties:Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for servicePrepare a variety of foods; meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food itemsArrange sauces and supplementary garnishes for allocated stationCover, date and correctly store all food prep itemsNotify Chef in advance of likely shortagesServe menu items compliant with established standardsUse food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructionsClose the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stationsMaintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all timesKeep the work area fresh all through the shiftMake sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriatelyConstantly use safe and hygienic food handling practicesReturns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areasAssist with all duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or Executive ChefQualificationsHighly skilled in preparing, seasoning, and cooking an extensive range of foodsHands-on experience in garnishing, arranging, and serving foodDemonstrated ability to check freshness of food and ingredients prior to cookingSubstantial knowledge of food safety and handling proceduresWell-versed in cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverwareAble to work in a team environment and take directionSelf-motivated and organizedExceptional problem solving abilitiesCommitted to quality service and food and beverage knowledgeExcellent ability to take directionFood Handlers CertificationMinimum of 1 year experience preferredAdditional InformationMini-golf doesn’t have to be paired with bad pizza.
