    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: 

    • Pressure washes outside of casino, decks, entrances to the casino, and other areas as needed and/or as directed. 
    • Cleans grounds and removes litter. 
    • Removes all trash from parking lot as needed. 
    • Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup. 
    • Water’s lawn and shrubs; trims plants as needed. 
    • Cleans out drainage, ditches, and culverts. 
    • Maintains cleanliness of outside smoking area. 
    • Maintains parking lots and adjacent areas in a sanitary manner. 
    • Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and snow removal equipment. 
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS   

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field, or groundskeeping/landscaping experience required. 
    • Strong problem-solving skills. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical and basic finishing. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. 
    • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive approach to dealing with issues. 

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                    

    This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. 

     

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS  

    Must have good written and oral communication and organizational skills.  Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. 

     

    REASONING ABILITY  

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

     

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

    Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. 

     

    Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
