Job summary:
Responsible for the maintenance work associated with the needs of day -to -day maintenance operation of agency facilities and grounds. Responsible for completing the routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs and duties as assigned, as well as responsible for the agency tools and equipment.

Duties:

• Make repairs as requested.
• Maintain heaters, cooling systems and other maintenance systems on a routine basis.
• Be available for emergency repairs after hours.
• Keep staff informed of the status of repairs.
• Locate and purchase items for maintenance/repairs according to company policy. All purchases must be pre-approved and authorized.
• Maintain facility grounds.
• Maintain inventory of agency tools and equipment.
• Assist with various maintenance tasks as requested.

Other duties as assigned.

• Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a maintenance role is required
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with staff and tenants
- Leadership abilities to supervise and coordinate the work of others
- - Ability to troubleshoot ,repair or call professional on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication and repair work

High school/GED equivalent

At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in maintenance/ facility operations. Have knowledge and skills in carpentry, electrical and plumbing systems. Certifications in any of these trades-a plus.

Other requirements:

• Must pass fingerprint and background check/ Drug Test and alcohol test
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; walking up/down ladders; stoop, crouch, kneeling, squatting, being on your feet for extended periods of time; work at heights of up to 20 feet, reach & handle.

Work indoor/outdoors with exposure to hot and cold temperatures

Ability to use hazardous equipment such as electric saws or drills, etc.
