DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision and Working with Others
· Nurture and care for children while parents are at work or school.
· Ensure that all children are signed in and that the daily attendance is accurate.
· Always supervise children and refrain from being distracted by cell phones or other electronics. Constantly strive to keep the children safe.
· Supervise and interact with children when they are playing in the classroom or outside.
· Cooperatively work with other teachers in your classroom and share ideas of how to improve the care and function of your classroom.
· Make sure your classroom is always within the correct teacher/child ratio.
· Do not leave the classroom for extended periods of time unless it is during nap time.
· Be actively involved in the affairs of your classroom and be willing to do more than your fair share of work.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATON REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED or be willing to obtain upon hire.
· Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work alternating shifts.
· Must successfully complete a health screening free of any physical/mental condition that would affect ability to work with or around young children, including safeguarding those children.
· Must submit TB (Tuberculosis) risk assessment or test results.
· Must complete and submit fingerprint cards for national background check and pass background check
· Must be self-motivated and develop daily routine to complete job duties.
