Utilizes a variety of sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes to research and analyze legal topics. Being a Paralegal drafts and edits legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts. Conducts fact-finding, data collection, and analysis used to prepare statements and arguments. Additionally, Paralegal assists attorneys with depositions, interviews, discovery, and investigations. Manages, organizes, and archives documents with software tools and technology. Applies specialized legal terminology appropriately in documents. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to an attorney. We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our firm. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of legal proceedings, ensuring the efficient management of their cases, and delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Organize and maintain documents in physical and electronic filing systems
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts for case preparation
- Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and discovery documents
- Prepare documents and exhibits for court proceedings
- Assist in trial preparation and closing files upon completion

Experience:
- 2 year of paralegal experience, specifically in the practice areas of personal injury and/or worker's compensation preferred
- 2 or more years of paralegal experience
- Paralegal certification preferred

- Proficiency in proofreading legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to conduct interviews with clients
- Clerical skills for administrative tasks within a legal setting
