Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain case files using document management systems
- Manage and update legal case management databases
- Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, and other trial materials
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and trial logistics
- Conduct factual investigations and interviews with clients, witnesses, and experts
- Draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents
- Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate written transcripts
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence
Requirements:
- Associates degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal or similar role
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and practices
- Proficient in conducting legal research using online resources and databases
- Familiarity with document management systems and legal case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills, including MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with e-discovery software platforms
- Familiarity with litigation support tools such as Concordance or Relativity
