Paralegal Manager manages and develops the paralegal team and the systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Responsible for case management by assigning cases and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion. Being a Paralegal Manager validates and oversees the preparation of legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, motions, appeals, wills, and contracts. Organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Additionally, Paralegal Manager provides research and training support to the paralegals utilizing databases and legal libraries. Coordinates with attorneys on special requests or highly complex projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Paralegal Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Paralegal Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Sinas Dramis Law Firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to provide support to shareholder, Catherine (Katie) Tucker, who specializes in personal injury litigation. This is a great opportunity for someone who has high ethical standards, is dedicated, has excellent organizational and time management skills, and would like to contribute to the success of an outstanding law firm.

    This role is critical in providing a high level of support to Katie in all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, proofreading, and writing skills.

    Position responsibilities include but, not limited to:

    • Performs a variety of confidential, multifaceted and consequential tasks of a clerical and semi-technical nature.
    • Assist in drafting and preparation of various legal documents, such as routine notices, filings, and letter preparation.
    • Compiles, reviews, and organizes documents for meetings, legal work, and filings.
    • Provides administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing attorneys’ calendars, assisting with travel arrangements, and performing other executive administrative functions as needed.
    • Assists in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
    • Performs legal and factual research as assigned by attorneys.
    • Conveys routine information to client regarding legal or contractual issues.
    • Establishes and maintains litigation and other files, correspondence, records, certificates, and other documents.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned

    Basic Qualifications & Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Associate of Business with a concentration in legal assistant, paralegal, executive assistant, or similar, preferred
    • Three (3) years of experience as a legal assistant
    • Two (2) years of experience in litigation
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
    • Strong experience and expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
    • Ability to work independently while managing changing priorities and projects
    • Basic knowledge of business machines (copier, scanner, printer, etc.)
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Must have excellent attention to detail, organization, and planning, confidentially and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent writer
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to embrace and learn new technologies
