Paralegal Supervisor supervises the paralegal team and implements systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Our office has an opening for paralegals / legal document assistants to work at our office. This is full time position that offers competitive pay and benefits (medical/dental/vision/401K/paid time off/paid holidays).
Background as a paralegal (or legal document assistant) and experience in family law, wills, living trusts, or probate is desirable but not required. The position can be filled at entry, intermediate or advanced level. However, all applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of experience.
Desired qualifications:
- Education in Paralegal Studies - certificate in paralegal studies or higher is required
- Notary Public is desirable but not required
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Very Reliable and Trainable
- Serious and Responsible
- Good communication skills
- Experience in any of the areas of family law, wills, living trusts, and/or probate is desirable but not required
- Current notary public or willing to become a notary public
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is desirable.
