Paralegal Supervisor supervises the paralegal team and implements systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Paralegal Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.   • The Sinas Dramis Law Firm is seeking a talented and driven individual for a full-time hybrid position at the law firm’s St. Clair Shores office.

    The ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of paralegal experience and legal administrative assistance experience, will have an acute eye for detail, proficient technology, and with Microsoft Office Suite, produce work consistently free of errors, be able to multi-task, and have excellent interpersonal, typing, and proofreading skills. This office is virtually paperless, so this individual must be adept at saving and retrieving files electronically.

    Position responsibilities include but, not limited to:

    • Performs a variety of confidential, multifaceted, and consequential tasks of a clerical and semi-technical nature.
    • Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
    • Identifies, tracks, and controls document discovery.
    • Prepares exhibit lists and cross-references.
    • Orders and summarizes medical records.
    • Schedules depositions and answers interrogatories.
    • Prepares settlement brochures.
    • Maintains excellent client relations
    • Tracks critical deadlines for the attorney
    • Drafts and prepares various legal documents, such as routine notices, filings, and letter preparation.
    • Compiles, reviews, and organizes documents for meetings, legal work, and filings.
    • Provides administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing attorneys’ calendars, and performing other administrative functions as needed.
    • Word processing and document preparation of law firm marketing literature and brochures.
    • Conveys routine information to client regarding legal or contractual issues.
    • Establishes and maintains litigation and other files, correspondence, records, certificates, and other documents.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Embrace the law firm’s cause of providing injured people with excellent and compassionate legal representation.
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Associate of Business with a concentration in legal assistant, paralegal, executive assistant, or similar, preferred.
    • Two (2) years of experience as a legal assistant or executive assistant
    • One (1) year of experience in litigation preferred.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    • Strong experience and expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
    • Ability to work independently while managing changing priorities and projects.
    • Basic knowledge of business machines (copier, scanner, printer, etc.)
    • Ability to transcribe dictation.
    • Excellent writer
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to embrace and learn new technologies
