Job description
Busy local Family law, Criminal defense and Probate, law firm seeking a qualified Legal assistant or paralegal in the Lorain County, Ohio area to start immediately.
This is a full-time position, hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with paid lunch, holidays, and vacation.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task; be professional; dependable, highly organized and efficient.
The successful candidate will have excellent client service and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, superior verbal and written communication skills, and strong computer and typing or keyboarding skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Tracking document request;
- Creating and maintaining electronic and paper case files;
- Drafting and filing pleadings;
- Scheduling and calendaring all court hearings, depositions, appointments, and deadlines;
- Assisting attorney with case preparation;
- Other administrative tasks as may arise.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
