Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Overview:
Seeking experienced civil litigation paralegal to assist Attorney in a growing civil litigation practice. Will consider all applicants but will give preference to those with lengthier history working in civil litigation. Background in criminal law a plus, but not required. Paralegal will predominantly be working in civil litigation. Attorney also does post-conviction relief and transactional law, and Paralegal will occasionally be given administrative tasks related to this area.
Paralegal should be curious, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills—both verbal and written. Paralegal should be knowledgeable about the litigation process, from the filing of a complaint to disposition.
