As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys and contribute to the success of our firm.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain case files
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the litigation process
- Schedule and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials
- Work up Personal Injury cases
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings and complaints
- Answer discovery requests
-Request medical records, complete medical chronology and medical billing summaries
- Assist with legal administrative tasks, such as drafting correspondence and managing calendars
- Electronically file documents in State and Federal court
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Answering phones when needed
Skills:
- Proficient in legal research methods and resources
- Knowledge of law and legal procedures related to litigation and personal injury
- Experience with file management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry
- Able to draft legal documents and file same in State and Federal court
- Proficiency in using Lexis-Nexis or other legal research databases
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic
