We are hiring an interim Paralegal to assist in the Hopkinsville County Trial Office. The ideal candidate exhibits exceptional planning and organizational skills, is self-directed and comfortable working with their defense team which includes attorneys, investigators, and office administrative legal staff.
This person must be able to complete high quality work under pressure, communicate well, and work with all kinds of people. We seek to hire persons who have demonstrated a desire to help the poorest and often the most vulnerable in their communities, and who understand it is a privilege to represent our clients.
Time management skills are also valued as the ideal candidate will be handling multiple time-sensitive tasks to support the clients and attorneys within the Boyd County Office, and the ideal candidate will be able to prioritize and complete requested duties independently.
This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.

Assisting attorneys in their representation of indigent defendants
- Legal research and writing
- Reviewing records
