Paralegal Supervisor supervises the paralegal team and implements systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. You'll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible.     $50,000 - $60,000

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible
    • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
    • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
    • Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
    • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer

    The Paralegal is key to our Legal Productions Engine here at LLG. Core responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

    • Drafting estate planning-related documents
    • Funding client's estate plans
    • Preparing clients' estate planning portfolio binders
    • Creating diagrams and overviews of clients' estate plans
    • Assisting attorneys with non-standard estate planning matters for high-net-worth clients
    • Case Management (including Estate Administration matters)

    Qualifications:
    • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills
    • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
    • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education
    • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
