Paralegal Supervisor supervises the paralegal team and implements systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.     Klinedinst PC is seeking a qualified Paralegal who will join our team with at least 5 years of experience working in a litigation support role with the knowledge of the litigation process. If you are a self-starter who is looking for growth and a friendly environment, we would like to hear from you. As a Paralegal, you will work alone as well as develop working relationships within a team environment. This position will work directly with our attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases, get involved in fact-finding projects. The ideal candidate for this position needs to be organized, professional and committed to meet our clients’ needs.

    • Prepare and draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, discovery, record summaries and subpoenas.
    • Conduct and research facts to prepare case accordingly.
    • Prepare summaries and organize document files for discovery and trial.
    • Research and analyze legal resources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, etc.
    • Provide case management and organization from inception; discovery, trial and post-trial support. Review and analyze documents for production.
    • Prepare and process pre-trial and document subpoenas and coordinate complex discovery on cases.
    • Direct, coordinate activities of legal secretaries, records clerks, and services clerk on complex projects.
    • Record billable time on client matters.
    • Coordination of delivery of records to various interested parties including co-counsel and experts.
    • Pay range: $41.35 - $44.71 per hour.

Pay ranges are provided in compliance with SB1162, California’s pay transparency law; actual pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including education, applicable experience, etc.

    Qualifications

    • A certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association.
    • 3 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm, business litigation or IP litigation support experience preferred.
    • Experience with Relativity eDiscovery software preferred.
    • Strong experience with discovery, arbitrations, and trials in complex cases.
    • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
    • Westlaw and/or Lexis/Nexis experience preferred.
    • Thorough understanding of federal and local procedures in California state and federal courts.
    • Excellent communication.
    • Strong research skills.
    • This job requires regular attendance to the office for the first 180 days, though as a dynamic culture we embrace opportunities for hybrid working arrangements when eligible.
