Paralegal Supervisor jobs in Wilmington, NC

We are a full service business law firm seeking a paralegal to become a part of our team in our New Bern office. The successful candidate will work on bankruptcy, transactional matters, trusts/estates, and general civil litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

• General case preparation and maintenance of case files
• Calendaring deadlines, trial schedules, and appointments
• Assist with the drafting and reviewing complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
• Filing documents with state and federal courts and agencies
• Providing updates to clients, sending letters, and other written communication
• Other administrative tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the legal field and familiarity with paralegal responsibilities, systems, and procedures
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Effectively communicate with assigned attorneys, other staff, court and agency personnel, and the public, verbally and in writing
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in bankruptcy law, litigation and trial preparation
• Certification through the North Carolina State Bar or paralegal degree
