Park Naturalist plans, develops, and conducts programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features concerning national, state, or local parks. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.   • General Summary:
     
    Under the supervision of the City Manager and/or designee. Employees in this classification will be responsible for customer service and general operations of Jean Klock Park.  Candidates must have scheduling flexibility and be willing to work weekends and/or holidays.  This is a seasonal position with employment occurring May 1st – Oct. 30th
     
    Essential Job Functions:
     
    An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any or all of the following essential functions:
    • Greet park patrons and interact with patrons.
    • Provides excellent customer service to the public and responding to inquiries, requests and resolving customer complaints as necessary in a prompt, effective and courteous manner.
    • Work well with colleagues.
    • Use good judgment.
    • Performs normal duties in areas in which assigned such as day to day park activities and special events.
    • Enforces facility policies, rules and regulations as necessary.
    • Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work condition or practice to supervisor.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
