Park Naturalist plans, develops, and conducts programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features concerning national, state, or local parks. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Minimum Qualifications
There are no education or experience requirements. Applicants must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated. Applicants must also be able to communicate effectively with other staff and with park patrons.
Duties Description
The incumbent will be assigned operational duties related to the delivery of support services to the public and staff, as well as performing maintenance duties at Watkins Glen State Park and Catharine Valley Trail State Park.
