Park Naturalist plans, develops, and conducts programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features concerning national, state, or local parks. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Recreation Attendant-Naturalist will perform tasks generally related to Summer Nature Camp. They will assist Naturalists at the Environmental Center with nature activities and classes, assist with supervision of campers, help design, and implement outdoor-based nature study, and perform various day to day assigned tasks to support and operate PEC’s Summer Nature Camp.
Work is performed under regular supervision of the Parks Supervisor. Work schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
