Position Title: Outdoor Park Services

Position Description:

The Outdoor Park Services is responsible for maintaining professional standards of safety throughout Badlands Off Road Park. In areas of hands-on trail maintenance, vehicle recovery, and enforcing park rules, the Outdoor Park Services employee keeps risk management and customer service their top priority.

Responsibilities:

• Offers exceptional customer service skills at all times.
• Continually monitors vehicles/parties on the property and ensures compliance with park rules.
• Pays special attention to safety jeopardies and reoccurring operational concerns. Aids in solutions.
• Leads by example by knowing and following all company policies.
• Stays in excellent communication with gate attendants and management during hours of operation.
• Manages difficult guest situations maintaining an authoritative, yet friendly, composure.
• Directs and provides trail maintenance as needed including checking and securing trail barriers, and removing debris, or vegetation overgrowth.
• Handles emergencies with the utmost importance collecting all necessary info and working with local emergency services.
• Runs, and maintains company equipment and machines relevant to the position.
• Works alongside construction, grounds keeping, and the maintenance team in a hands-on role.
• Helps with set up and tear down of events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies and Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Passion for off-roading is a plus!
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Endurance to work in undesirable weather including high winds, cold and hot temps, and rain.
• Ability to run common landscaping equipment. Construction equipment is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm during stressful situations.
• Leadership skills to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Sense of ownership and pride in achievement.
• Strong ethics and values.
• Superior communication abilities.
• Great interpersonal skills with an upbeat team-player attitude.
• Ability to walk and /or stand for long periods, bend, reach, lift arms, and speak loudly. Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy weight.
• Extremely flexible schedule to accommodate long hours on weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
• First Aid/CPR Certification is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
