Position Summary
The Operations Support Team Member plays a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness, sustainability, and safety of Shelby Farms Park, ensuring an exceptional experience for visitors. This position focuses on event setup, park cleanliness, and small maintenance actively contributing to the creation of a vibrant and healthy park environment for both people and wildlife.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Manage daily litter, debris, and recyclable materials to uphold a pristine park environment.
• Maintain grounds and building cleanliness to include, but not limited to, walls, tables, carpets, windows, pressure washing, emptying of trash cans, debris removal, etc.
• Execute event set-up tasks, including arranging tables, chairs, stages, etc.
• Undertake minor maintenance projects, reporting and addressing any broken items promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections, upkeep, and enhancements of grounds, landscapes, facilities, structures, and amenities.
• Engage visitors actively, providing exceptional hospitality, and providing information when needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• Valid Driver’s License

• Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in an outdoor setting, including adverse weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to perform tasks outside in extreme conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather)
