Position: Park Director for Ogden’s George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park
Job Goal: To implement the Dinosaur Parks Mission through active management of staff, programs, fundraising, and educational activities.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $120,000 per year salary, plus bonus potential based upon park performance.
Reports to: Board of Directors
Supervises: Entire Museum Management team, all staff members, and Park Volunteers
Work Hours: Full-Time Salaried Exempt Position, including some weekends and holidays

Essential Job functions:
· Establishes and maintains effective communication with the Board of Directors.
· Coordinates all Board-related activities and meetings with Board Liaison.
· Implement policies set by the Board and create procedures to carry out those policies.
· Manages the Daily operation of the park to ensure profitability.
· Helps to identify grants, selects, develops grant projects, and prepares information for grants.
· Oversees and maintains Donor and Grant records.
· Oversees all contracts and financial records relating to grants.
· Provide monthly reporting on Financial and attendance figures to DP Foundation members and appropriate Ogden City officials
· Ensures consistent progress toward the park's financial stability.
· Maintains the Park's policy manual through coordination with the Dinosaur Park Foundation Board.
· Protects and maintains the Park's Assets.
· Assists the Board of Directors in planning and implementing strategic business plans.
· Coordinates the Board's development and fundraising efforts, by overseeing Board liaisons identifying prospects, providing promotional materials, and corresponding with prospects as needed.
· Serves on all Board committees or assigns an Operational Staff member to such committees.
· Assists the Board in developing short and long-term operational and project budgets.
· Assists the Board in developing short- and long-term Capital and project budgets.
· Supervises all employees of the park and provides clear leadership.
· Assists the DP Board of Directors by defining staff assignments, staff roles, and responsibilities.
· Assists DP Board in providing applicants for employment for review and hire.
· Trains staff through regular staff meetings or assigns Operational Managers to hold needed training.
· Presides over monthly Management meetings.
· Executes all contracts as approved by Dinosaur Park Board
· Develops and oversees the park's exhibits including needed repairs and exhibit expansion.
· Schedules and oversees special events.
· Continues education and that of the staff regarding business management and relevant paleontology issues
· Serves as a spokesperson representing the Dinosaur Park.
· Serves on other boards and committees whose goals are compatible with the park's mission.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Board of directors
