Position: Case Manager I-III Adult Probation and Parole [348]
Program: Amarillo, Texas - Adult Probation and Parole TCOOMMI (Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments)
Salary range:
Case Manager I: $19.62/hr.
Case Manager II: $20.82/hr.
Case Manager III: $22.12/hr.
Shift available: Full-time
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
- Serves as a case manager/skills trainer for Texas Correctional Office for Medical and Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI)
- Will be responsible for teaching and modeling skills that address independent community living, social, coping, problem solving, anger management, & symptom management skills to individuals that are on parole and have behavioral health issues
- Works as a member of criminal justice interdisciplinary (probation, courts) team
- Will be trained in state-approved curriculums that emphasize evidence based practices to help improve daily functioning. Position will organize and provide culturally competent care activities and collaboration among all participants involved with the individual's care
- Additional duties can include: assessment & treatment planning, working within the team to ensure appropriate services are delivered, engaging individuals by taking a person centered approach to help identify strategies and objectives
- Will provide services in home and community based settings. This position will spend at least half of their working time directly working with assigned caseload
- Position will assist & collaborate with the interdisciplinary Behavioral Health Team in promoting skills development and community stability
- Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised
Required qualifications to be successful in the job:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field for QMHP credentialing
- For Case Manager I, no experience required
- For Case Manager II, at least one (1) year experience of behavioral health case management
- For Case Manager III, two (2) years experience of behavioral health case management
- Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:
- Degree in social work or psychology preferred
