Development Coordinator

Overview

The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting LIFT-UP’s fundraising and outreach goals. The Development Coordinator reports to the Director of Development and works with development, program and operations staff, and the Executive Director. Principal responsibilities include donation entry, database operations, and creation of mailing lists and tracking methods for fundraising appeals. The Development Coordinator will also be involved in donor stewardship, representing LIFT-UP as a member of our small but mighty development team, which establishes and strengthens relationships with donors, manages donor relationships and giving programs, and works closely with trustee, individual, corporate, and foundation donors. This role will involve actively interfacing with donors via phone, email, and in-person. The position also provides general support for the development team during special donor-focused events and activities.

Responsibilities
Donor Relations and Stewardship

• Gift entry and reconciliation with Finance
• Acknowledgement letter generation and mailing
• Tracking donor-specific activities and outcomes
• Managing the integrity of LIFT-UP’s CRM Little Green Light (LGL), guaranteeing data and reporting accuracy. This includes accurate gift coding, address updating, importing volunteer data, etc.

Special priority areas include:

• Maintaining CRM-based “moves management” system
• Managing CRM-generated queries, solicitations, and mailing lists to ensure LIFT-UP’s development outreach is accurate and donor-centered

Reporting/Analysis

• Generating appropriate contact lists for all external mailings
• Generating weekly and annual reports of all fundraising activities
• Creating accurate and timely reports including: weekly development report,capital campaign report, pledge status report, and moves management report

Administrative & Events

• Working with other team members to help drive close collaboration across the organization
• Providing event support for periodic development-sponsored events both on- and off-site
• Attending professional development training and informational sessions, to become better acquainted with Development procedures and LIFT-UP’s community
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and good judgment
• Curiosity to learn new processes and technology
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of basic office technology, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus

Hours and Compensation

This is a part-time, entry-level position, with potential for full-time hours during the end of year busy season. This role will be in person at our Glenwood Springs office.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
