Union Tank Car Company is seeking a Write Up Supervisor, reporting to the Plant Manager, at our full-service rail tank car repair shop in Muscatine, Iowa. The Write Up Supervisor is responsible for the initial inspection and write-up of repairs required to maintain company, lessee, and customer fleets, and for the supervision of all Write-Up Inspectors and hourly support staff to insure inspections of cars are made upon arrival and all defects are written up in a prompt, accurate manner. This individual also has responsibility for assuring repairs have been completed to an acceptable quality standard prior to shipment. This includes assigning work to the Write-Up Inspectors, as well as ensuring all appropriate document required in conjunction with repairs are prepared to expedite car repairs.
