Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastor typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Key Responsibilities of the Lead Pastor:
1. Work with the Elder Board and Ministry Leadership Team (MLT) to discern, organize and implement church ministries that further the mission of the church both locally and globally.
2. Plan and lead Sunday morning worship. As the lead pastor, provide biblically based, life applicable preaching and teaching in the ministries of the church, in cooperation with our Youth Pastor, lay leaders and occasional guest speakers. Conduct other special services as needed.
3. Be fully involved in leadership and support for the ongoing and future ministries of FAC, including our English as Second Language program, VBS, small groups, and others.
4. Lead the church in emphasizing support for the global efforts of the Camp;amp;MA in accomplishing the Great Commission.
5.-erve as the executive officer of the church. Coordinate ministries, general administration, Youth Pastor and volunteers and their schedules so that the church is an efficient operation.
6. Represent FAC at Camp;amp;MA Ohio Valley District functions and national events as determined by the Board.
7. Provide pastoral care as needed for FAC members and attendees, including counseling, visitation, funerals, weddings, and so on.
8. Represent FAC to the community as opportunities arise, seeking to increase our footprint, visibility, and evangelism.
