CULLMAN CAMPUS PASTOR

Job Title: Cullman Campus Pastor
Direct Report: Executive Pastor
The Campus Pastor will oversee the growth and direction of a Daystar Church campus under the direction and leadership of the Executive Pastor. The Campus Pastor must be confidently called and passionate about Daystar, the vision, our culture, and systems. As a culture carrier and builder of people, the campus pastor works to coach and align sta?, key leadership, and Dream Team members. The Campus Pastor will o?er pastoral leadership to the campus and ensure that the church's systems, practices, and policies responsibly and e?ectively support Daystar’s ministry activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Weekly Responsibilities (between Sundays)
General Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that the vision of the Lead Pastor is executed throughout every area of the organization at the local campus level
- Responsible for overall Sunday morning experience at assigned campus.
- Connect with Daystar members and others in the community (connect with new people, love, encourage and pastor people, connect people with resources at Daystar Church)
- Empower and develop leaders while building meaningful relationships
- Develop and oversee campus Leadership Pipeline, including identification, recruitment, and coordination of training of leaders.
- Attend weekly Campus Pastor Meetings and Service Tactical meetings
- Communicate vision, upcoming events, etc., with the campus lead team
- Continually build systems that will create growth at the campus level
- Be the example of responding to emails within a 24 hour time frame, text messages within 1 hour, and phone calls as soon as possible.
- Meet regularly with Campus Administrator regarding campus operations and coordination
Pastoral Responsibilities:
- Be available to lead/assist in crises, hospital visits, funerals, baby dedications and weddings.
- Complete regular bible reading/study to be prepared for any required speaking occasions.
- Prepare for and deliver Sunday morning messages or teaching assignments as required.
- Prepare a message each week in the event of technological malfunction
- Provide pastoral biblical coaching and care as needed to Daystar Church attendees
- Continually pray and seek God on behalf of Daystar Church and its leadership.
Special Events
- Help plan, staff and implement all special events for the campus
Small Groups
- Carry the culture of Daystar being a “church of small groups” and continually build a structure to support it
- Meet regularly with the campus Small Group Coordinator
- Constantly recruiting new small group leaders/coaches
- Communicate weekly with various small group leaders to support, encourage and serve them
Next Steps
- Meet regularly with the campus Next Steps coordinator
- Monitor PCO workflows for consistent progress in on-ramping new members
Dream Team
- Plan/Implement monthly meetings with all campus Dream Team leaders.
- Lead meetings with campus lead team (at least twice a month)
- Continually seeking out potential Dream Team members
- Highlight areas of service
- Consistently encourage all members of the Dream Team
- Oversee the “One Step Closer” process
- Ensure communication with all campus leadership teams regarding upcoming weekend services is happening
Budget/Facility Responsibilities
- Forecast annual departmental spending for operations and facilities
- Oversee/Manage budgets for the campus in accordance with Daystar Church financial systems and policies
- Model an ownership mindset regarding Daystar facilities and property, including but not limited to operation, proper care and maintenance, scheduling usage and maintaining an organized campus.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- This description is not comprehensive, and other duties may be assigned as necessary for the overall health of Daystar Church.
Weekend Responsibilities (Sundays)
- Ensure the campus facility is opened, organized and prepped for services
- Connect with Campus staff and make sure all bases are covered
- Facilitate all services on Sunday (Worship Transition/Welcome, Invitation, Closing/Offering, and Special Moments such as Baptism, Communion, Prayer Moments, etc.)
- Greet, love, encourage, and pastor people
- Connect with new people
- Be available for ministry time with individuals by walking slowly through the room
- Be a presence in and around Next Steps
Goals:
- Pursue a ratio of 1 small group for every 10 people based upon the average weekend attendance
- Pursue 100% monthly involvement on a dream team according to the average weekly number of adults in weekend worship
- Pursue an average of 6-10 attendees in Next Steps each weekend
- Pursue a 10% annual increase in weekend attendance growth
