Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastor typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Educational requirements:
Bachelor’s degree minimum, master’s or seminary degree preferred, and four to six years of related experience.
Pinelake’s Story:
The story of Pinelake Church began in February of 1971 in Brandon, Mississippi, in a mobile chapel in a rural area near The Reservoir. By God’s grace and power, our faith family has grown into a dynamic church spanning five cities throughout our state -- Clinton, Madison, Oxford, the Reservoir, Starkville, and our online campus. Weekly, we serve over 12,000 people, but we celebrate stories of life change one person at a time.
Reservoir Campus:
As Pinelake's first campus, the Reservoir hosts over 6,000 weekly attenders over three services on Sunday morning. As a suburb just East of Jackson, Flowood is the fifth fastest-growing city within the state! Excellent schools, great parks, expanding retail developments, and a great Southern charm, make this community one of the most liveable in the Southeast! This campus also serves families from the surrounding areas of Brandon, Pisgah, Ridgeland, Jackson, and countless other towns and cities within our state.
