Duties and Responsibilities:The pastor is responsible for the oversight of the church body; providing spiritual and strategic leadership to the congregation. The pastor will ensure that the practices and policies of the church responsibly and effectively support the church’s activities.• Oversee all aspects of the ministry• Active member of the church congregation by attending all services and all church events• Work closely with all the officers and committees of the church• Conduct Sunday morning and Sunday evening worship services (includes opening of service, lead songs and prepare/present sermons)• Conduct the Wednesday Bible study and prayer meeting• Conduct the ordinance of communion• Conduct baptismal services• Moderate all church business meetings• Provides visitation to members and attendees in homes, hospitals and nursing facilities• Performs wedding ceremonies and conducts funerals when requested
Qualifications:• Preferred but not required: Bible college/seminary training, 3 years’ experience• Has received and accepted a calling from God for pastoral ministry• Good communication skills• Able to work well with those in leadership positions, be a team player• Have a servant’s attitude• Strong commitment to personal spiritual growth• Must live a personal life exemplary of a mature Christian• Promote unity among the church family
