Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. We are seeking a dedicated, passionate Pastor of Family Ministries to join our team and lead families in developing healthy relationships with each other and with Jesus. He will lead programs and initiatives that promote strong marriages, parenting skills, family discipleship and connections and personal finances.

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Possess a deep commitment to making disciples of Jesus and as they reach and connect with children, youth and families with the primary purpose of helping them grow in Christ-likeness.
    • Embrace opportunities to preach and teach as well as to serve the church in a variety of ways through prayer, evangelism and discipleship multiplication.
    • Have a passion to reach the community and the world with the Good News of Jesus.
    • Assist in identifying, equipping, and mentoring leaders within the church, fostering their growth and involvement in various ministry areas.
    • Work closely with the Senior Pastor and other leaders to support ministries of the church.
    • Serve as an active member of the church congregation by attending services, life groups, and participating in church ministries.
    • Maintain a disciplined life of worship, Bible reading, prayer, and giving.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; M.Div. preferred.
    • Alignment with the principles of the Evangelical Congregational Church in doctrine, theology and vision as well as the willingness to seek credentialing through the process prescribed by the denomination (if not already licensed by the E.C. Church).
    • Prior experience in pastoral ministry, including leadership roles, preaching, and counseling, is beneficial. It demonstrates the ability to effectively provide spiritual support to the congregation, as well as the ability to work with church leadership.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for preaching, teaching, counseling, and supervising church volunteers.
    • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor and develop other leaders within the church and effectively manage church services and events.
    • A deep personal faith and a mature spiritual life are essential for providing spiritual guidance and support to the congregation.
