Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastor typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     POSITION SUMMARY

    Champions the Kids and Student Ministries at their campus. Prepares kids and students to be lifelong followers of Jesus by creating engaging experiences and building transformational relationships. Champions the recruitment and development of volunteer teams to lead through ministry strategies and wins. Provides pastoral care, support and direction for kids and students, parents, and other attenders at the campus. Reports to the Campus Pastor.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Recruits, develops, equips, and empowers volunteers to 
      • Prepare kids and students to become lifelong followers of Jesus
      • Execute ministry strategies and initiatives from guest experience to leading groups and more
      • Support care plans for participants with identified and additional needs
      • Pursue their individual spiritual formation and model authentic personal relationships with Jesus
    • Fosters and facilitates an invitational culture for volunteer leaders by
      • Inviting people to use their spiritual gifts to serve
      • Investing in and inspiring leaders one-on-one, in group meetings and trainings
      • Identifying and empowering volunteer leaders to lead other volunteers (i.e., directors and team leads)
    • Carries out centrally designed ministry strategies by
      • Delivering high quality experiences (services, programs, events, etc.)
      • Creating safe environments from check-in to pick-up
      • Ensuring all kids and students, regardless of disability or additional needs can participate
      • Influencing parents as leaders of their child’s spiritual development
      • Fostering ongoing relationships with families to understand the strengths, gifting, and needs of their kids
    • Partners and collaborates with peers at other campuses to execute centrally designed programs, events, and retreats
      • Leads approximately 3 student trips per year
    • Provides input and feedback to Kids and Students Ministries development teams
    • Utilizes Eagle Brook’s church management tool to manage processes, create volunteer schedules, and communicate with volunteers
    • Serves as a community connection with area schools
    • Participates with campus team to foster healthy and dynamic staff environment, and accomplish ministry needs of the campus Performs pastoral functions including on-call visits, weddings, and funerals  
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree, seminary training, or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 4 years) preferred
    • 2 years of experience building, leading, equipping, and motivating volunteer leaders or teams of people 
    • 2 years of active and relevant kids and/or student ministry leadership experience
    • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
    • Call to pastoral ministry and desire for people to know Jesus 
    • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and interpersonal 
    • Passionate about the next generation
    • Strives to understand and relate to kids, students, and their families
    • Experience executing and leading ministry initiatives
    • Strong ability to multitask, be organized and handle a high volume of details
    • Skills in problem solving and conflict resolution techniques     
    • High energy and a passion to operate in a 
    • Passionate about building a healthy team environment
    • Demonstrates collaboration with work cross functionally teams

    WORK SCHEDULE

    Generally, Sunday - Thursday, which includes weekend services and Wednesday night Student Ministries. Needs to be able to meet when volunteers are available.
