Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastor typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • First Assembly of God in beautiful San Antonio Texas is hiring a full time Kids Pastor. We are a spirit filled, multigenerational church with a strong emhasis on next gen ministry. We are a healthy, growing church with a robust children's ministry that ministers to many families in our church and community. The primary purpose of the Kids Pastor is to introduce young people to Christ; to disciple them in spiritual growth, and to train them in serving Christ with their life. Of equal importance is to assist parents or guardians in raising their children to wholesome spiritual maturity.

    RESPONSIBILITIES Include but not limited to:

    Ensure that the Kids Ministry curriculum develops a gospel-centered worldview in our children (nursery-5th grade) and is in alignment with First Assembly's beliefs and core values

    Inspire, Recruit, Develop, train and equip volunteers for the vision and mission of Kids Ministry.

    Develop and implement child safety and discipline policies.

    Oversee continual management of the Kids Ministry database.

    Provide a friendly environment and experience on Sunday mornings which includes efficient child check-in & pick-up, clean and decorated classrooms, and that teachers are ready and equipped to minister

    Interact well with parents and families in a manner that is filled with grace and compassion.

    Provide childcare for special events and services. ( membership classes, worship/prayer nights, congregational meetings, etc.)

    Lead specialized summer programs (Summer Camp, Parents Night Out, VBS, etc.)

    Oversee the Kids Ministry budget.

    Minister on a Sunday morning, if asked, especially with special days of highlighting kids ministry (Kids Holiday productions, Easter, etc.)

    EXPERIENCE

    1-3 years of children's ministry experience preferred leading in moderate size ministry with 20 kids
    Leadership skills necessary to administer all aspects of the Kids Ministry, including personnel management, financial oversight, marketing, and other areas.

    Proficient with computers and presentation software (propresenter); adaptable with technology.

    Credentialed minister and/or pursuing credentials (preferably Assemblied of God or like faith)
    Biblical and theological knowledge; theological training preferred with Associates degree & above
