Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Overview
The Missions Director is responsible for recommending, equipping, and championing the strategies and teams necessary to address the needs of under-resourced individuals in our communities, region, nation and world. The Missions Director functions as a full member of the core leadership team, providing leadership to volunteers and prayerful insight for the direction of the ministry as a whole. This person partners with the Pastor, staff, and volunteers to ensure that St. Hilary is most effectively harnessing the passion, talents and resources of the congregation to meet the needs of under-resourced individuals, with a goal of helping them move toward thriving self-sufficiency.
The Missions Director has a passion for local and global missions. This person has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoys helping others. This person is organized, an excellent communicator and able to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations. They are able to successfully coordinate efforts from conception to completion and solve problems independently. This person is able to simultaneously handle competing priorities and confidential matters in a professional and timely manner.
The Missions Director supports the vision and mission of St. Hilary Church.
Responsibilities
· In collaboration with the Pastor and staff, create a Missions Plan for St. Hilary Church.
· Identify and engage Missions Partners.
· Recruit, equip, train, and lead missionaries for local and international service opportunities and experiences.
· Develop service opportunities for parishioners of all ages who are not traveling on mission trips.
· Ensure St. Hilary’s internal database for mission opportunities is accurate and well-maintained.
· Champion Missions Communications on website, social media, blog and email.
· Other duties as may be assigned by the Pastor.
Hours are flexible, with a preference for a full time candidate.
