Evaluates and reviews records of counseling sessions and visitation logs to ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards. Additionally, Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare plans and coordinates with other clergy to conduct interfaith worship experiences. May perform the duties of a chaplain. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     Description

    The Director Patient Care Heart and Vascular Service Line will collaborate with appropriate Emory Healthcare operating entity ACNOs and the VP of Nursing and key Medical Directors of the operating entity in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing operational plans, objectives, and standards.

    The position will lead and manage clinical operations and initiatives of the Heart and Vascular service line patient care delivery system to achieve established productivity, quality, safety, and satisfaction performance parameters. This position co-leads the Heart and Vascular service line  for the entity. 

    Leads the development of strategic growth and operational objectives for the overall service line in conjunction with the entity leadership and respective leaders at the health system entities. Creates and utilizes opportunities to collaborate with local and regional partners to achieve mission driven program development efforts using data-driven analytics to project growth, financial impact, and vision for the service line 

     

    Accountable for the development and monitoring of the functional unit nursing budgets and assures cost-effective use of resources.

    Collaborates, integrates services across the health system through collaborative initiatives including standardizing where appropriate, policies and procedures, orientation and training programs, and clinical staff competencies.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing; Doctorate highly preferred.

    Seven years of progressively responsible senior nursing leadership experience.

    Cardiovascular inpatient experience preferred

    In-depth knowledge of service line nursing competencies, the scope of practice and professional practice.

    Experience working on a Magnet journey or in a Magnet hospital highly desirable.

    Experience leading large complex projects demonstrating innovation and projected outcomes.

    Active listener and able to synthesize the information from multiple stakeholders quickly.

    Experience with strategic planning and execution.

    Good communication skills, engaging, passionate about healthcare.
