    Vanguard Resources, Inc., (VRI), Industry-Leading Facilities Management company, has an immediate opening to hire an full-time, salaried/exempt Hospital Facilities Maintenance Manager/Director for our Client’s Hospital facility in the Laredo, Texas area. This Hospital Facilities Maintenance Manager/Director oversees operations of the facilities/maintenance department on behalf of Vanguard Resources, to ensure alignment of mission, values, and objectives of the organization/client. The role will also serve as the site’s designated Compliance/Safety Officer.

    JOB SUMMARY: The Hospital Facilities Maintenance Manager/Director develops, implements, and aligns operational goals to the strategic direction of the organization as well as the Client strategic plans. The Hospital Facilities Maintenance Director/Manager ensures safe and efficient operations in compliance with applicable regulatory standards and safety guidelines while maintaining an impeccable commitment to excellence. The Facilities Maintenance Manager/Director exemplifies and drives a customer centric philosophy that highlights both internal and external relationships; identifies customer needs/expectations and strives to exceed them with efficient, safe and compliant operations.

    Duties may include, but not limited to, the following:

    • Plans organizes, directs, oversees, and controls the activities of the Facilities Maintenance Department
    • Ensures maintenance and repairs as necessary to provide the safe and efficient operation of the hospital
    • Maintain a comfortable physical environment and grounds for patient, employees, medical staff and their public, in accordance with policies, procedures, standards and practices set by the Hospital, the Texas Department of Health, CMS, the Joint Commission and other local community and governmental agencies
    • Will facilitate the mission, vision, and value statements of the facility, and Vanguard Resources and the Client
    • Will effectively perform the oversight and leadership, managerial, environment of care/infection control, quality and building maintenance/improvement and other departmental responsibilities, supporting both the hospital and Vanguard Resources.
    • All other duties/projects as assigned

    Qualifications - Education:

    • Bilingual - English/Spanish a PLUS
    • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
    • Minimum 5 years in Maintenance Leadership role
    • Acute Healthcare experience highly REQUIRED
    • Proficient in Microsoft office suite programs is REQUIRED
    • Ability to successfully pass a 10-panel drug screen, criminal background check, and agree to required healthcare immunizations and vaccines.
    • Clean driving record, with no more than 3 moving violations within last 3 years
