Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare develops programs and oversees services designed to meet the religious and spiritual needs of patients, their families, and healthcare staff. Ensures that pastoral services are staffed so that chaplains are available to support patients and families facing difficult medical choices. Being a Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare establishes policies and procedures to facilitate optimal service delivery and ensure that emotional support, spiritual counsel, and comfort are provided. Evaluates and reviews records of counseling sessions and visitation logs to ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards. Additionally, Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare plans and coordinates with other clergy to conduct interfaith worship experiences. May perform the duties of a chaplain. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Mulberry at Waverly is looking for a results orientated Director of Nursing (DON), with strong interpersonal and communication skills to exercise administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the Administrator. The successful applicant will have strong leadership and supervisory skills, and enjoy working with the elderly.

    The Director of Nursing plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.

    • Must be currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Nebraska. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
    • Must have supervisory experience in a long-term care setting preferable as a DON in Nebraska
    • Must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead a team of nursing staff, as well as help foster a team atmosphere with the nursing division
    • Must be able to teach and lead by example on all shifts
    • Liaisons with residents, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for resident needs
    • Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the long term care facility in Nebraska
    • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
    • Must be very knowledgeable in state reporting and developing and implementing plan of corrections
    • Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
    • Displays integrity and professionalism in all things
