Responsibilities
The Director of Nursing at Promise Care, NJ is responsible for overseeing the operations and home-based medical services of our Essex County home health team - including RN's/LPN's; Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapists; Nurse Liaisons; Dietitians; and administrative staff. Duties include:
Ensure the maintenance of Promise Care Essex's compliance with all Home Health Care Federal and State regulations (including Medicaid and Medicare).
Coordination of home-care services for a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians.
Supervision and support of Essex County team members.
Ensure proper clinical orientation, competence assessment, and training of clinical staff.
Maintain a growth-oriented and service-forward mindset.
Promote a nurturing and pro-social environment for staff to embody the highest standards of patient care (our promise to care).
Qualifications
RN with a Bachelor degree in nursing or a health related field required.
Previous experience in community health nursing with 3 yrs of progressive management experience required.
Minimum 1 year of Home Health Care experience preferred.
Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills.
Exemplary nursing judgment.
Self-direction with the ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to learn / navigate electronic documentation systems (HCHB or others).
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus***
