Primary function is to plan, organize and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department, in accordance with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility. Responsible for hiring staff and maintain proper staffing ratios to meet our residents needs as well as state requirements. Make daily rounds to ensure that all residents are receiving the proper level of care. Oversee infection control program as well as Abuse prevention program. Responsible for quality of care for the residents. Maintains an on-going communication with the Medical Director, physicians and N.P's. Make daily checks of the nursing charting including orders and progress notes. Oversees work assignments for Nurses and CNA's. Other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
