Pastoral Care Director - Nursing Home jobs in Rochester, NY

Wedgewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking an experienced Director of Nursing. Wedgewood is small, 29 bed facility with a homelike environment and a reputation for delivering excellent rehabilitation services and skilled nursing care.

The selected candidate would be expected/ but not limited to:

• The delivery of quality care and regulatory compliance
• Planning, priority setting, coordination and evaluation of programs of nursing care, education and research for the nursing facility
• Management of all nursing personnel and the administrative functions for the nursing department
• Overall management of human, fiscal and material resources
• Demonstrate the organization's commitment to sound ethical business practices
• Accountability for the human resource and outcome management for designated resident populations

Minimum Requirements:

• DON Experience preferred
• Valid NYS RN license

Preferred Requirements:

• Patient Review Instrument (PRI) certification
• 1 year of experience as MDS coordinator
• Master's degree in Nursing
• Highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities
• Strong conflict mediation skills
• Excellent communication in a fast pace work environment across teams on different shifts and different departments
• Highest level of engagement within a team setting to promote a positive work environment
• Promote and embrace the culture of the facility
• Leadership and mentorship skills overseeing nursing and nursing support staff
• Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field
• 5 year of experience as an RN in a leadership role
• 2 year of experience as an RN in a skilled nursing or long term care setting in a leadership role
