Pastoral Care Director - Nursing Home may perform duties of chaplain, which includes counseling and visiting, for a nursing home. Develops and provides services designed to meet the religious and/or spiritual needs of patients and their families and nursing home employees. Being a Pastoral Care Director - Nursing Home may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. To be a Pastoral Care Director - Nursing Home typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Assess and address the spiritual} pastoral, bereavement and additional individual and/or group counseling needs. Develop and implement individualized spiritual and bereavement plans of care in collaboration with local clergy and the interdisciplinary team. Conduct religious ceremonies, bereavement support groups, and educational programs as appropriate Provides training for local clergy in bereavement support and end of life spiritual care.

• Must be able to climb at least 2 flight of stairs and be able to stand and/or walk for a period of at least 4 hours
