PASTRY CHEF
Pastry Cook to join the Food and Beverage Team. This position is responsible for creating, preparing, and producing baked goods such as breakfast pastries, muffins, cinnamon rolls, breads, cookies, brownies, and deserts for the hotel Coffee House and other resort venues. This position could be full-time or part-time. Applicants must be self-motivated, reliable, dependable, detail oriented, have the ability to follow recipes while multi-tasking, consistently prepare high quality products, work well under pressure, and provide excellent customer service through the appearance, quality, and consistency of all baked goods produced
Pastry Cook Duties:
- Prepare and serve desserts and baked goods
- Propose, create, and make adjustments to dessert menus
- Estimate and prepare costs and profits
- Train new employees
- Attend to customer requests/complaints
- Ensure that appropriate sanitation and safety standards are implemented
- Provide superior customer service
- Ensure that product is stored, prepared, and served according to specifications and standards
- Ensure that operations function efficiently
- Conduct inventory counts, prepare bills, and count out products
- Spend time making sales
- Other duties as assigned
Pastry Cook Responsibilities:
- Prepare desserts, pastries, and other baked goods according to company recipes
- Maintain work areas and kitchen equipment
- Follow all sanitation, health, and safety policies and procedures
- Prepare and maintain ingredients, tools, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and merchandise
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service for walk-in and phone orders
- Restock and restock daily all pastries, cakes, pies, and other baked goods
Requirements And Skills:
- Prior experience as a pastry cook
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Possess ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Base Pay: Starts at $15/hour depending on Experience

Environment: This is an indoor position. Must be able to work in a hot kitchen environment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift/carry 50lbs.
Qualifications: At least one year working in a restaurant kitchen. At least 6 months baking experience.
