The Law Office of Taylor R. Dahl Job Overview:

Our office is looking to add another attorney. We are a growing firm focused on providing high-quality representation to clients in a variety of practice areas. We are open to adding or growing specific practice areas depending upon the applicant.

Our current practice areas include the following:

• Business Law
• Family Law
• Real Estate
• Tile & Escrow
• Estate Planning & Probate
• Personal Injury
• Criminal Defense

The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of relevant legal experience and would be able and willing to immediately assume responsibilities related to representation, including client meetings, court appearances, legal research, drafting pleadings, and case preparation and management.

We currently have 3 attorneys and 5 support staff in a fun, fast-paced, and collegial work environment. We are located in a lovely office space in a newly renovated historic building.

Duties:

• Conduct client meetings, including consultations and during cases
• Represent clients in various litigation and transactional matters
• Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, briefs, orders, contracts, wills, trusts, deeds, etc.
• Appear in court and other proceedings
• Negotiate with opposing counsels
• Advise clients on rights and obligations
• Develop strategies for cases and clients
• Maintain successful relationships with clients, courts, staff, other attorneys, etc.
• Manage cases independently
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex matters
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect client cases

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in Tennessee (Kentucky would be a nice bonus)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Commitment to ethical and quality representation
• Knowledge of Tennessee Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
• Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw or Lexis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work within an office team
