We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. We are a small litigation firm (civil / family) seeking an associate who wants to learn to be a trial attorney. Opportunities for court appearances offered. Compensation based upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with case management and preparation for hearings, trials, and depositions
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Represent clients in court proceedings when necessary
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Maintain client relationships and provide exceptional customer service
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the state bar association
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Proficiency in Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw research platforms
- Experience in legal drafting and document review
- Ability to litigate cases effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
