Pathology Assistant under the supervision of a pathologist assists with preparing and dissecting surgical specimens. Prepares and selects tissue samples for analysis. Being a Pathology Assistant may record findings or sterilize equipment. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program. Additionally, Pathology Assistant may require certification as a pathologist assistant. Typically reports to a pathologist. To be a Pathology Assistant typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Viterbo University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, Tenure-track, Graduate Faculty, MS-SLP Program, Assistant/Associate Professor who will work collaboratively with the Chair, Director of Clinical Education, other university Faculty, to provide high-quality, evidence-based teaching for students aspiring to become speech-language pathologists. The appointment will start at the August 16, 2024. The successful candidate will uphold accreditation standards and commitment to the philosophy, mission, and vision of Viterbo University, The College of Nursing and Health, and the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences.
